With all the people moving to Oregon the homes for sale in Salem Oregon have decreased. The building craze is going pretty good, supply is trying to meet demand.
Portland and the surrounding area has always been sort of the hot spot with the big city feel, plenty to do and ample jobs. If you don’t mind the traffic you may like it here. Personally, I would rather stab my hand, that’s just me.
Oregon real estate has been in high demand, especially the Willamette Valley. With extremely fertile soils and outdoor activities everywhere, you can’t blame people for heading here.
Currently the Oregon homes for sale are a little thin. Many people feel that the winter is not a good time to sell a place, that is why as of January 2019 are inventory is at about 2.3 months, definitely a sellers’ market. If you consider the interest rate is at about 4.45% it is still a great time to buy a place.
Oregon real estate comes in many shapes, sizes and locations. The Willamette Valley has about 70 percent of Oregon’s population but there are many great places to live outside the area. I have always loved central and eastern Oregon but that may be because I have lived in the Willamette Valley all my life.
Central Oregon is where you will find Bend, Sisters, Redmond and Prineville to name a few. If you are a skier this is the perfect spot for you with all the snow-covered mountains around and Mt Bachelor leading the pack.
Head east to the coast and Oregon real estate takes on a new flavor. Many of the coastal communities rely on tourism like Lincoln city, Seaside, Astoria, Newport and Waldport to name a few. The sea air is very nice and refreshing and you can’t beat the ocean.
