Hey, thanks for dropping by. I wanted to give you a look at some Salem Oregon real estate through the eyes of a long- time contractor turned realtor  in the Salem area.

Right now, at the time of this writing Oregon is seeing a housing shortage keeping Oregon in a sellers’ market. 

The original housing shortage was caused by people moving to the state because of its popularity. We still have a bunch of that as Oregon is still a popular destination.

The Salem Oregon real estate market is like many others. Salem has many different housing styles and neighborhoods.  A good realtor can explain this to you and keep you out of the bad areas.

One of your main concerns when buying a home is that it increases in value at a percentage rate that is comparable to the other  neighborhoods in your town. This is investing 101.

Right now, Salem Oregon real estate is a great value compared to land and homes in the Portland area. We are about 45 miles south of Portland and it is only a matter of time before prices will increase with big town influence.
